About Professor Lynn M. LoPucki

LoPucki teaches Secured Transactions and Empirical Analysis of Law at both schools. He also maintains a free online database for large corporate bankruptcies. You can use the database for free at http://www.webbrd.com.

Lynn tells members of Congress there is a progressive disease in the bankruptcy court called forum shopping. He goes on to describe the Chrysler and GM 363 sale bankruptcies as illegal and should not be approved by the court. Then he says the court will approve them anyway. Why would the court do that? Because of the need to attract more large cases to the court in the future.
